Russia will exit INF nuclear missile treaty in six months

MOSCOW: Russia says it will exit the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces treaty in six months, as part of its response to the US pullout from the agreement.

This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow, who was quoted by Interfax news agency on Wednesday.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the weekend that Moscow has suspended the Cold War-era pact after Washington announced to withdraw from it.
