Kashmiris to observe 51st death anniversary of Quaid-e-Kashmir on Dec 18

ISLAMABAD: Brisk preparations are afoot by the peoples of Jammu & Kashmir dwelling either side of the line of control and r rest of the world, where they are living to observe the 51st death anniversary of veteran Kashmiri leader, Quaid-e-Kashmir, Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas on December 18, with full respect and honour coupled with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the departed Kashmiri leader till the liberation of the occupied part of the Jammu Kashmir state from Indian clutches and the accession of entire Jammu Kashmir state to Pakistan.

It will be the State holiday across AJK to mark the death anniversary of the eminent Kashmiri leader and one of the pioneer leaders of Pakistan and Kashmir freedom movement and the first supreme head of the AJK government with due solemnity and reverence.

Quran Khawani will be held in various parts of AJK territory, occupied state and different parts of the country for the departed soul.
Special meetings will be held at various places in Azad Jammu Kashmir including Mirpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Bhimber, Bagh, Sudhanoti and Rawalakot under the auspices of the All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference to pay s tributes to the late leader for his remarkable services for the Kashmir freedom movement, official sources told newsmen here.

Major ceremony to observe the day will be held, at the mazar (mausoleum) of late Ch. Ghulam Abbas at Faizabad Rawalpindi December 18 morning under the auspices of Azad Jammu & Kashmir government.
Top Kashmiri leaders, mostly belonging to the Muslim Conference including the Party- chief and former AJK Prime Minister, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan will address the ceremony.

A large number of people including the Muslim Conference activists from different parts of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan will visit the mausoleum of late Ch. Ghulam Abbas and offer fateha for the departed soul besides offering special prayer for the early success of the Kashmir freedom movement and accession of entire Jammu Kashmir state to Pakistan.

In the schedule special gatherings to mark the day, the speakers will pay glorious tributes to the founder leader of the Kashmir freedom movement coupled with renewal of the pledge and determination to follow his foot prints for the completion of his mission of the liberation of occupied Jammu Kashmir state from the Indian tyrannical rule.
