Supreme Court rejects Deputy Speaker ruling on No Confidence Vote

The ruling of the Deputy Speaker is against the constitution of Pakistan. The Vote of No Confidence Motion stands still, says Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The Supreme Court will announce its verdict in a suo motu case regarding the Deputy Speaker's ruling on no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister at 7:30 on Thursday evening.

This was declared by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial, who headed the five member bench, on conclusion of the hearing on Thursday afternoon.

Earlier, during the hearing on Thursday, Counsel of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker Naeem Bukhari and Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan submitted their arguments.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were also provided opportunity to speak during the hearing.
