US Missiles strike on Syrian Airbase kills Syrian Air Force General

In Syria, US warships fired dozens of cruise missiles at the airbase controlled by President Bashar al-Assad's forces in response to the poison gas attack which resulted in civilian deaths.
President Donald Trump has declared missile attacks vital for America's national security interest.
US officials said, they had informed Russian forces ahead of the missile attacks and that there were no strikes on sections of the base where Russians were present. Whereas Russia has rejected this claim.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has confirmed deaths of four soldiers including an air commodore in US strike on the Syrian airbase.
The Observatory said, the airbase was almost completely destroyed.
Earlier , US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson had said Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad should have no role in a future Syria.
Meanwhile, Britain, France and the United States have pushed for a vote at the UN Security Council on a resolution demanding a full investigation of the suspected chemical attack in Syria.
The council was due to meet behind closed doors at Russia's request, to discuss Syria, but a formal vote on the Western-backed draft had not been scheduled.
Meanwhile, China's UN Ambassador Liu Jieyi says he hopes the UN Security Council can reach consensus on a resolution condemning use of chemical weapons in northern Syria.
