Polling is underway for by-polls of NA-245 and PS-115

KARACHI: Polling is underway for the slot of NA-245 and PS-115 Karachi while clashes between political workers are being reported in several areas during polling.
As per details, the process of polling for the slot of National and Provincial Assemblies started from 8am which would continue till 5pm without any interruption.
Over 4 lakhs registered voters are using their right of vote in NA-245 while over 1 lakh voters are using their right of vote in PS-115 in by-elections. 227 polling stations have been set up for the slot of NA-245 while 83 polling stations have been established for the slot of provincial assembly PS-115.
33 polling stations in NA-245 and 66 polling stations in PS-115 have been declared extremely sensitive respectively while Rangers and Police personnel have been deployed inside and outside polling stations to ensure transparency in by-elections.
Powers of Magistrate have been given to presiding officers and Rangers In-charge to ensure successful conduction of by-polls while public holiday has been declared by government in the relevant constituencies.
