LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Friday filed a defamation suit of Rs.10 billion against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
According to the defamation suit, Shahbaz Sharif states that Imran Khan falsely accused the ruling party of making him a financial offer for silence over Panama papers case.
Shahbaz Sharif, who is a senior leader of PML-N and brother of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, states in the petition that Imran Khan levelled a baseless allegation to defame him.
The defamation suit was filed in Lahore High Court which served the legal notice to Imran Khan today.
