Top international company to invest in Pakistan's IT sector

Huawei CEO Ethan Sun recently had a meeting with Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in Islamabad, during which Huawei expressed its interest in investing in Pakistan's IT sector. Sun took the opportunity to inform the Prime Minister about Huawei's ongoing efforts to promote and develop the information technology ecosystem within Pakistan. Notably, Huawei has already established approximately 100 information technology centers across various universities in the country.
Prime Minister Kakar commended Huawei for its proactive stance in advancing information technology within Pakistan and expressed optimism that Huawei would collaborate with the government to provide training and support to the country's youth and women, especially those residing in remote regions, in the field of information technology.
Moreover, the Prime Minister welcomed Huawei's eagerness to expand its investments in Pakistan's information technology sector and extended an invitation for Huawei to consider establishing manufacturing plants for mobile handsets within the country. Caretaker Minister for Information Technology, Dr. Umar Saif, also attended the meeting, demonstrating the government's commitment to fostering such collaborations in the technology sector.
It's worth noting that Huawei Technologies, in partnership with China's leading chipmaker SMIC, has recently developed an advanced 7-nanometer processor to power its latest smartphone, the Mate 60 Pro. This breakthrough chip, known as Kirin 9000s, was manufactured by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC) in China. The Mate 60 Pro, which boasts the capabilities of satellite communication, was introduced to the market by Huawei, although specific details regarding the chipset's power were not initially disclosed.
