Lahore: Over the issue of Salahuddin killing in police custody, DPO Rahim Yar Khan has been sacked by CM Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Thursday removed Rahim Yar Khan’s District Police Officer in case pertaining to death of ATM thief Salahuddin in police custody.
This was stated by CM spokesperson Shahbaz Gill in a tweet.
Earlier, Senior Civil Judge Shaikh Fayaz Hussain has been tasked to carry out a probe into the death of suspected ATM thief Salahuddin Ayubi who allegedly died from severe torture by police in Rahim Yar Khan.

The District and Sessions judge appointed Hussain as an inquiry officer.
The station house officer (SHO) and two investigation officers of the City-A-Division Police Station, who were nominated in the murder case, have been issued notices to appear before the judicial officer.
Salahuddin Ayubi’s father has also been served a notice to take part in the investigation.
