Pakistan to continue to extend moral, political, diplomatic support to Kashmiris: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan would continue to extend its moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
He called upon the international community to take immediate notice of the human rights violations in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and play its effective role in resolving the issue of Kashmir in line with the aspirations of Kashmiri people and the United Nations resolutions.
The prime minister expressed these views during a meeting with Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan, who called on him here at the PM Office and congratulated him on the assumption of office.
During the meeting, overall situation in AJK as well as the matters relating to law and order and socio-economic development were discussed.
The AJK president briefed the prime minister about the barbarism, state terrorism and human rights violations being perpetrated by India on the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
President Masood Khan also apprised the prime minister of the AJK government’s continued efforts towards the political and diplomatic awareness of international community in that respect.
The prime minster strongly condemned the Indian atrocities, barbarism and human rights violations in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
