On Friday, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court stated that the court would provide rulings on Imran Khan's prison conditions within the next two to three days.
Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, had submitted an application contesting his transfer to Attock Jail following his arrest. The IHC had recently ordered his transfer to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
However, Justice Farooq raised a question with Khan's lawyer, Sher Afzal Marwat, regarding why there were objections when the transfer had been made at Khan's own request.
Marwat responded by pointing out that Khan had not yet been granted B-Class status in jail and emphasized that the former prime minister didn't even have sufficient space for taking walks.
In response, Justice Farooq indicated that the court would issue its orders regarding these matters within the next two to three days.
Imran Khan has been in jail since his arrest in the Toshakhana case in August, and although his sentence has been suspended, he remains in custody in connection with the cipher case.
