The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced that the Hajj policy for 2024 will be unveiled in the next two weeks. This policy will allow women to perform Hajj without a mehram.
Additionally, the ministry stated that the federal cabinet is expected to approve the Hajj policy within 10 days, and the Hajj application process for the upcoming year will commence after receiving the cabinet's approval.
Furthermore, the ministry has implemented stringent regulations concerning the sighting of the crescent moon. According to these new rules, only the Ruet-e-Hilal committee will have the authority to announce the sighting of the crescent moon, with no private committees permitted to do so, as recommended by the ministry.
Previously, Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, conveyed that the Saudi Arabian government is committed to providing additional facilities and improved services to Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj 2024.
