Four Pakistan Army officials, including a lieutenant colonel, tragically lost their lives during an intelligence-based operation in the general vicinity of Tirah, Khyber District, as reported by the military's media wing on Monday.
The operation was conducted due to reported terrorist presence in the area, according to Inter Services Public Relations Pakistan (ISPR).
ISPR stated, "During the operation, troops under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider effectively engaged the terrorist location. As a result, three terrorists were eliminated, and three others were injured. Regrettably, during the intense exchange of gunfire, four courageous individuals, namely Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, Naik Khushdil Khan, Naik Rafique Khan, and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir, valiantly sacrificed their lives for their country." A sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorists in the area, as per ISPR.
The security forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their determination to eradicate terrorism, and the sacrifices of these brave soldiers only serve to strengthen their resolve.
