Pakistani speedster Haris Rauf has reported discomfort in his rib area and is currently undergoing diagnostic tests to determine the source of his discomfort, as confirmed by a representative from the cricket team.
During the recent match in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 against New Zealand, he had to leave the field after conceding 85 runs in 10 overs due to this issue.
It's noteworthy that Haris Rauf faced an unfortunate record during that game, having allowed the most sixes by any bowler in a World Cup edition. Additionally, he is one of the bowlers who have given away the most runs in a single World Cup edition.
As per an official statement from the national team's spokesperson, Haris Rauf has not suffered any injury, and the results of his MRI scan have come back clear. The fast bowler will continue to undergo regular medical evaluations, the spokesperson added.
