Pakistan believes in peaceful resolution of all issues: Khurram

ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan, who is presently in is in Tajikistan, held talks with his Tajik counterpart Lieutenant General Sher Ali Mirzoonin Dushanbe.
Both sides discussed matters relating to regional cooperation. The Defence Minister highlighted that being neighbors of Afghanistan both Pakistan and Tajikistan are facing similar security challenges and threats. He said Pakistan believes in peaceful resolution of all issues and appreciates the efforts to Tajikistan in promotion of peace and stability in the region.
Khurram Dastgir pointed out that CPEC will provide new and unique opportunities for enhancing connectivity and integration from Gwadar to Kashgar and Muryhab in Tajikistan.
He suggested that new avenues of defence cooperation between the two countries may be explored as Pakistan has adequately advance defence industries, producing quality products. He also offered avenues for working out mechanisms for intelligence cooperation, exchange of military delegation in order to fight terrorism.
