31 Taliban militants killed in Afghanistan

KABUL: In Afghanistan, at thirty one Taliban militants have been killed by Afghan security forces backed by U.S. air strikes in Ghazni province.
The spokesman for the provincial governor, Mohammad Arif Noori said the militants were planning to wrest control of a road and had attacked many security check posts.
He said Taliban militants have been pushed back from Ghazni-Paktika highway. (Reuters)
