Sindh Police rewarded with cash prizes for outstanding performance

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP-Sindh) AD Khawaja Saturday announced cash prize worth Rs 100,000 each for SSPs of Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad and Dadu, alongwith their respective teams, for outstanding performance against criminals.

A Sindh Police spokesman said that the three SSPs and their respective teams would also receive certificates of appreciation.

Sharing details of the performance of these police teams, he said SSP, Shaheed Benazirabad and his team successfully busted a notorious gang of robbers involved in looting trucks and vehicles loaded with goods.

Leader of the gang Inayatullah, who belonged to Jacobabad, was reportedly killed in the encounter between the police team and his group.

The spokesman said as per Hyderabad Police report in an operation against criminals in Tando Jam area gang of robbers involved in more than 12 criminal cases were arrested, while their leader Taslim was killed during the action.

Two motor-cycles and weapons were recovered from the possession of the gang, he said.

Within the jurisdiction of Dadu district, the police apprehended a wanted dacoit Rakhi, alias Rakhio Machi, in an injured condition following an armed confrontation.

Looted goods were said to be recovered from his possession. (APP)
