PIA CEO Bernd Hildenbrand allowed to fly abroad

ISLAMABAD – In a surprise and sudden move the name of the Pakistan International Airlines CEO Bernd Hildenbrand has been removed from the Exit Control List.
The name of foreign Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Bernd Hildenbrand has been excluded from Exit Control List (ECL).
According to directives issued by Interior Ministry, Bernd Hildenbrand has been allowed to travel abroad once for which his name is being removed from ECL for thirty days that will start from the day he departs.
It is to be mentioned here that CEO Bernd Hildenbrand was barred from travelling abroad on the charges of alleged corruption in the purchase of PIA planes.
“PIA had acquired a plane from Sri Lankan Airlines at $8,000 per hour, while another airline had acquired the same type of plane at $4,000 per hour,” Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said.
