Journalist Asad Kharal attacked near Lahore Air Port

LAHORE - Senior journalist Asad Kharal have been reportedly injured near Allama Iqbal International Airport by unidentified persons on Wednesday.
Superintend Police (SP) Cantonment Bilal Zafar confirmed the attack. He says, “Kharal was allegedly tortured by unidentified persons and police had already received a complaint of the incident. ” [image: PHOTO FILE]
Kharal was attacked as soon as he came out from Lahore airport.
Some unidentified persons stopped his vehicle and tortured senior journalist which was later shifted to Lahore Services Hospital for medical aid.
Some news reports indicate that he was attacked by goons of the ruling party. However, Kharal was not available to comment about the incident.
