Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem wins International fight in Panama

KARACHI: Renowned Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem has earned laurels for himself and his country by winning yet another fight.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Waseem has won International Challenge Fight against Eliecer Valdez, a boxer from Panama, in Panama on Thursday.
Pakistan’s only pro boxer and two-time WBC silver flyweight champion has been in Panama since June 29.
The fight was held at Fantastic Casino in David at 6am PST and was telecast live on local television TV Max. Waseem knocked out Eliecer Valdez in the just second round.
It is Mohammad Waseem sixth consecutive triumph in the boxing world.
Waseem said that it would be the beginning of his preparation for the fight of his life. “It will be the beginning of my preparation for my fight for the world title. I will also play a tune-up fight on July 29 here,” Waseem said.
Las Vegas-based Jeff Mayweather is coaching Waseem. Jeff is the uncle of Mayweather Junior, the world’s best fighter.
