Imran Khan raises issue of FATF grey list with EU Ambassador, gets positive nod

ISLAMABAD – European Union Ambassador Jean-Francois Cautain on Monday has assured PM elect Imran Khan that the EU will help Pakistan get out from the FATF grey list.
Imran Khan had raised issue of FATF grey list before the EU Ambassador.
The ambassador said that EU was ready to work with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan–led government in security, economy, GSP-Plus, education, and rural development sectors.
He said this during his meeting with PTI chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday to congratulate Imran Khan for his party s victory in general elections held last month.
The Ambassador said that the EU was ready to help Pakistan get out of FATF grey list.
Jean-Francois said that we have no objection over the Gas pipeline project which is in progress between Pakistan and Iran, adding that the EU wants stability and development in Pakistan.
The EU envoy also said that we will help the new government to bring overseas investors and businessmen in Pakistan.
Speaking on the ocassion, Imran Khan welcomed the Ambassador at his residence and thanked him for his good wishes.
He also appreciated Jean-Francois Cautain’s personal efforts and interest to improve bilateral ties between Pakistan and European Union and to help the people of Pakistan in difficult moments.
