Hiroshima marks 72nd anniversary of World first atomic bomb attack by US

Japanese city of Hiroshima is observing today 72nd anniversary of world's first atomic bomb attack of August 6, 1945, in which more than one hundred forty thousand people were killed.
A minute of silence was observed in the city to remember the dead and a call to eliminate nuclear weapons.
Hiroshima Mayor Kazumi Matsui on this occasion urged that the absolute evil of atomic weaponry be banished.
