Opposition leader replies to the letter from the president of Pakistan

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif has rejected the name of former chief justice Justice retired Gulzar Ahmed as caretaker prime minister.
In a letter written to President Arif Alvi, Shahbaz said that putting forward the name of Justice retired Gulzar Ahmed by Prime Minister Imran Khan is illegal. He further stated that the matter of dissolution of National Assembly is still in the court.
The Core Committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had proposed the name of former chief justice Gulzar Ahmed as the caretaker prime minister. The proposal of former chief justice Gulzar Ahmed comes after President Arif Alvi had sent letters to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif to seek suggestions for the appointment of a caretaker prime minister.
