In a first, Pakistani University ranked among top 100 Universities of the World

FAISALABAD - The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has attained 61st place among top 100 universities of the world.

An UAF spokesman told APP on Saturday that the latest ranking had been released by The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings which placed the UAF at 61st position out of 487 world universities and first in Pakistan in SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals.

The ranking system, on making exceptional progress in SDG 13- Climate action positioned the UAF 77th global and second best in the country out of 257 world universities.

The overall ranking includes 462 universities from 76 nations, placed the UAF at 201st at global and second in the country level.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is known for teaching, learning and research, consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in the world.

There are 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and The Impact Ranking is evaluating university performance on 11 of them in first edition of the ranking in 2019.

UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa while felicitating the faculty, staff and students urged them to work hard and make the university a model varsity of the country.
