Kashmir struggle can’t be weaken by Hurriyet leaders detention

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Gilani and arrest of Muhammad Yaseen Malik and other Hurriyet leaders and activists.
The Hurriyet forum in a statement issued in Srinagar also denounced the arrest of Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Advocate Shahidul Islam and Hurriyet activists Farooq Ahmad Saudagar and Abdul Rashid Tanki, Kashmir Media Service reported.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir in a statement in Srinagar criticized the authorities for sending ailing Bashir Ahmad Sofi to Baramulla jail after invoking draconian Public Safety Act against him. The statement called it an inhuman and brutal act.
The party demanded his immediate release. The TeH also denounced the re-arrest of activist Hilal Ahmad Pala in a fake case. The statement said the arrest and house arrest of Hurriyet leadership and youth was not going to weaken their commitment towards Kashmir struggle.
Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement strongly condemned the continued detention of party Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, and other leaders including Rafiq Ahmad Ganaie, Mohammad Yousuf Mir and arrest of Mustaqul Islam alias Gugga Sahab.
