ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Railways has added over one thousand and four hundredmodern wagons for upgradation of its cargo trains.

An official of Ministry of Railways told media that Pakistan Railways ispurchasing high power locomotives for upgradation of cargo trains andsystem of transportation of coal for Qadirabad Power plant.

He said the proposed improvement on the anvil is procurement of 820 highspeed wagons to replace old fleet of cargo wagons at a cost of Rs. 9516million in next 1-2 years.
