ECP approves major reshuffle in Sindh bureaucracy

The Election Commission of Pakistan, on Tuesday, granted approval for significant changes in the deployment and assignments of Sindh police officers in anticipation of upcoming elections. This decision by the electoral body encompasses the reshuffling of key personnel, including one additional Inspector General (IG), eight Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), and 31 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) across the province.
According to the official notification issued by the ECP, Khalid Rind, who served as Additional IG Special Branch, has been reassigned as Additional IG Karachi. Additionally, Asad Raza has assumed the role of DIG South, Asim Khan has taken charge as DIG West, and Captain (retd) Ghulam Azfar has been appointed as DIG East Zone Karachi.
Further changes in leadership include Abdul Hameed Khoso as the new DIG Sukkur, Javed Jaskani as DIG Larkana, Tariq Razzak as DIG Hyderabad, Parvez Chandio as DIG Shaheed Benazirabad, and Tanveer Alam Odhu as DIG Mirpur Khas.
In addition to these transfers, several officers have been assigned new positions, such as Amjad Sheikh as SSP Hyderabad, Abreez Ali Abbasi as SP Tindwala Yar, Saleem Shah as SP Tandu Muhammad Khan, Nurul Haq Rand as SP Matiari, Tariq Nawaz as SP Jamshoro, Shabbir Sethar as SSP Dadu, Ali Bakhsh S. as SP Thatta, Shehla Qureshi as SP Sajawal, Qamar Jaskani as SP Badin, Haider Raza as SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, Tariq Elahi Mastoi as SSP Malir, Hasan Sardar as SSP Korangi, Faisal Abdullah Chachad as SSP Central Karachi, Irfan Ali Bahadur as SSP East Karachi, Imran Qureshi as SSP District South Karachi, Muhammad Arif Aslam as SSP Kemari, and Zahoor Ali as SSP West Karachi.
