Caretaker PM Kakar to prioritise country's natural resources

Caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Anwaar ul Haq Kakar emphasized on Tuesday the crucial need for improving road infrastructure in order to access the country's natural resources. This concern was addressed during a high-level meeting centered around the petroleum division. In this meeting, the Caretaker Prime Minister was provided with a comprehensive briefing on the division's performance.
During the briefing, the caretaker PM was informed that the petroleum division is actively engaged in the quest to discover additional natural resources within Pakistan. Special attention is being given to the development of pipeline projects that aim to facilitate the transportation of oil and gas from diverse deposits across the nation. Furthermore, the promotion of foreign investment in the mining sector was highlighted as a significant priority.
In response to these discussions, the Caretaker Prime Minister expressed the view that further measures are essential to fully harness Pakistan's abundant natural resources. He issued directives for stringent actions to combat illegal mining activities and stressed the importance of promptly fulfilling all legal requirements for the appointment of the head of the Oil and Gas Development Authority.
