The PTI spokesperson has stated that the Election Commission has 34 days remaining to hold elections, as per the constitutional requirement that elections must take place within 90 days after the dissolution of the Assembly.
The President of the country has also suggested a date of 9th November for the elections. According to the PTI spokesperson, a ninety-day constitutional period for holding elections is a vital mandate, and tampering with the Constitution in any article or section equates to undermining the entire Constitution, which is a serious offense.
In cases of premature dissolution of elected assemblies and untimely dissolution of assemblies, the Constitution clearly lays out the provisions. The Constitution mandates that if elections are avoided within the ninety-day timeframe, then both the Election Commission and the Caretaker Prime Minister, along with their cabinets, would be in violation of Article 6.
The Chief Justice has the authority to halt any attempt to undermine the Constitution beforehand, and the Election Commission and the Caretaker Government would be bound by the Constitution. Attempts to deprive the public of their voting rights for an indefinite period will not be accepted by the nation in any circumstances.
