Police thwarts major terror plot, recovers huge cache of weapons and explosives

In SWAT, the police have claimed to successfully thwart a sabotage attempt and uncovered a significant stockpile of weaponry and ammunition, including a suicide jacket and rocket launchers, concealed underground.
Swat District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Khan Gandapur, during a press conference held at the Mingora police station and attended by SP Upper Swat Muhammad Zaman and other police officials, revealed that this substantial cache of arms and ammunition was discovered through a joint search and strike operation involving the police, CTD, and security forces within the jurisdiction of Malam Jabba police station.
The recovered weaponry and ammunition encompass a suicide jacket, ten hand grenades, one rocket launcher, three rocket launcher shells, eleven rocket launcher boosters, 71 detonators (non-electric), eight test light wires, three empty rocket launcher heads, one rifle snapper, 500 ball bearings, and a substantial quantity of cartridges.
DPO Gandapur added that these weapons and ammunition had been concealed underground with the intent of carrying out subversive activities in the Qadirabad (Ser) area, located within the Malam Jabba police station precincts. He emphasized that the terrorists' plans for mass destruction were thwarted by the police, and ongoing search and clearance operations continue in the region.
Additionally, modern scientific methods are being employed in the investigation to identify and apprehend the culprits and their collaborators. DPO Gandapur reassured the public by stating that the police had successfully prevented any disruption of peace and potential harm to tourism.
He conveyed a message to tourists, asserting that Swat is a place of complete peace and encouraged them to visit this picturesque valley without any hesitation.
