The Afghan interim administration, under the leadership of Chief Haibutallah, has decided to establish a refugee camp for individuals being deported from Pakistan near its border. Reports indicate that a committee comprising officials from six different ministries has been assembled to oversee this initiative.
This Afghan government camp is slated to be situated in the Lalpur district of Nagarhar province, situated just across the border from Pakistan.
It is expected to function as a tented village, and international agencies are anticipated to provide assistance in its establishment.
Additionally, the government has chosen to cover the travel expenses for families where the guardian is female, rather than male. Sources also suggest that nearly 100,000 families have relocated from Pakistan to Afghanistan in the past year.
