Afghan Taliban ambush Afghan Governor in a deadly attack
PUL-E-KHOMRI (Agencies): The Baghlan Jalga district governor wounded in a Taliban ambush with his two bodyguards.
Faiz Mohammad Amiri, Deh Salah district governor of Baghlan, said that a car carrying Abdul Wali Sharifi, Jalga district governor of Baghlan, who was traveling from Jalga district to Deh Salah district, faced with ambush of Taliban in Mir Ghazi area in which he was wounded with his two bodyguards.
He added: “In a clash between the guards of Jalga district governor and Taliban, the Taliban were forced to flee.”
Amiri called the health condition of the Jalga district governor critical and added that he has transferred to Kabul for treatment.
