LAHORE - Skipper Sarfraz announces major decision over his batting order change, reacts over Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad in squad.Pakistan’s skipper Sarfraz Ahmed on Friday said he would bat at number four against Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series.
Addressing a presser, Sarfraz welcomed return to Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad in the national team and hoped that both players would prove their selection right.
“Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal will be given full chance to prove their mettle. I hope that they will prove their critics wrong”, Sarfraz was quoted as saying in the presser. To a question, Sarfraz replied that Pakistan were not taking Sri Lanka easy. He apprised attendants that Islanders can give tough time to green shirts.
The skipper termed toss ‘immensely important’. He further added that Lahoris will give warm reception to Sri Lankan team. “The management has taken every step to ensure foolproof security”, added Sarfraz.
It is pertinent here to mention that Pakistan had won ODI series by 2-0. The first match of the series was washed out.
