Turkey takes a final decision over the Russian missile defence system purchase

ANKARA - Turkey has dismissed United States threats of sanctions over buying Russian missile.

In an interview with local TV Channel in Istanbul, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said Turkey will respect the decision on the S-400 with Russia and the first deliveries of the S-400 are scheduled for June or July.

He said Turkish and Russian officials are reviewing deployment of their forces in the Syrian border region of Tel Rifaat.

He said Turkish military operations along the Syrian border will continue until all threats have been eliminated.
