Pakistan government takes action against Hafiz Saeed charity FIF

ISLAMABAD - The government of Pakistan has added Hafiz Saeed’s Jama’at-ud-Da’wah and its charity wing Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation into its list of proscribed organisations link .
The National Counter Terrorism Authority has updated the list, labeling the JuD and its charity wing as proscribed organisations.
The list was updated after the Ministry of Interior issued a notification.
The move came a few hours after the officials from the ministry announced that 44 members of banned outfits, including the brother and son of Jaish-e-Mohammad leader Masood Azhar, have been taken into “preventive custody for investigation”.
