China welcomes all steps towards easing Pakistan-India tensions

China will welcome all positive measures towards easing tensions between India and Pakistan and promoting peace and stability.
Spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry Lu Kang during regular press briefing in Beijing on Monday said that China has been in close contact with both India and Pakistan and making efforts to promote peace and facilitate talks.
Lu Kang said that Chinese side has said many times that it hoped that India and Pakistan, as two important countries in South Asia, would enjoy good neighborliness and friendship and resolve their issues through friendly consultations.
The spokesperson said that China will continue to play a constructive role to help ease the situation and promote regional peace and stability.
