Biggest Fish seed hatchery of Asia to be made in Rajanpur, Punjab

LAHORE: Punjab Government decided to set up a large number of fisheries and fish farms to make the Southern Punjab a hub of fish seed hatchery.
According to the tweet from official account of the Punjab government, the work has started to make the largest hatchery of Asia in Rajanpur, Punjab.
Five million fish seeds have been provided to fish farmers by fisheries department in Bahawalpur to meet their requirements. Fish farms have been set up on an area of 500 acres in Derawar by provincial government.
Moreover, government is establishing a hatchery in Muzaffargarh to breed fish in salt water.
Punjab government is taking effective steps to restore the fish industry in Pakistan while fish farmers are being provided with better facilities in this regard by government.
