Kashmiris boiling with anger against Indian occupation: Mirwaiz

SRINAGAR: In Occupied Kashmir, the Mirwaiz-led Hurriyet forum has said that the Kashmiri people are boiling with anger against India and its local ruling dispensation in the territory.
A statement issued in Srinagar by Mirwaiz forum pointed out that killings, arrests and use of brute force by Indian forces to suppress the Kashmiris’ struggle continued unabated despite the ceasefire claim by the Indian authorities.
Meanwhile, at least 12 civilians and four policemen including a Station House Officer were among 16 injured in a grenade blast in Shopian district, today.
The grenade exploded at Batapora Chowk in the district.
The incident triggered clashes between protesters and Indian troops in Shopian. Scores of youth pelted rocks on the troops deployed in the town. The troops used force and fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters.
Clashes between the troops and youth were also reported in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, today, against the recent killing of a local youth, Sheeraz Ahmad Sheikh, by the Indian army in Tangdar area of Kupwara district.
The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party in a statement in Srinagar, today, expressed solidarity with the families whose relatives were martyred in so-called Tangdar encounter.
