Water inflow in major rivers jumps to 309,600 cusecs

ISLAMABAD: Water inflow in all major rivers jumps has significantly increased owing to rainy season and on Wednesday stood at 309,600 cusecs.

According to The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) the inflow has jumped to 309,600 cusecs from 281,900 cusecs.
According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1392.36 feet, which was 12.36 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 148,400 cusecs while outflow as 163,700 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1119.20 feet, which was 79.20 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 40,400 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs respectively.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 195,400, 158,500 and 33,,000 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River, 52,800 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 40,000 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala. APP
