Afghanistan: 15 security personnel, 29 Taliban killed

KABUL: In Afghanistan, fifteen personnel of Afghan Border Police force and twenty-nine Taliban have been killed in separate incidents in Kandhar and Faryab provinces.
Fifteen security personnel were killed and seven others injured in an overnight attack of Taliban against a security checkpoint at the border town of Spin Boldak in Kandahar.
According to the Afghan security forces, sixteen Taliban were killed and eleven others injured in the clash.
Meanwhile, thirteen Taliban have been killed in an operation by the security forces in northern Faryab province.
During the operation which was launched by Special Forces Units against Taliban hideouts in Almar district, militants' trenches and weapon caches were also destroyed.
