Tech-based system to be introduced in power companies: Leghari

ISLAMABAD:Minister for Power Awais Ahmed Leghari says a technology-based system will be introduced to improve the efficiency of power producing and distribution companies.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that untill now the government was focused on power generation and remained successful. He said the focus has now shifted to the distribution companies to improve their performance.
Awais Laghari said the government has exposed over-billing by power distributing companies of four to eight billion rupees in the last two months.
He said the government will start accountability process in distribution companies and non-performing companies would be shown the door.APP
