US troops withdrawal will adversely affect Afghan Forces training in Afghanistan: General John Campbell

WASHINGTON: General John Campbell claimed that planned withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan will affect the efforts of training and supporting the ANSF.
General John claimed that security situation is deteriorating in Afghanista and ISIS wants to establish a base in eastern Afghanistan near Pakistan border.
He said that according to current withdrawal plan US troops will be decreased from 9,800 to 5,500 which is not sufficient to support and train Afghan forces.
General John Campbell has led NATO forces in Afghanistan for last18 months and will be replaced soon by General Nicholson.
General John Campbell said that if we don’t take necessary security measures then 2016 will be worse than 2015 for Afghanistan.
