In India, thousands of farmers have intensified their protests by blocking highways and holding gathering in the outskirts of New Delhi.
Farmers are holding protest against the newly passed farm bills by the BJP-led government.
The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to make any progress in breaking the deadlock over set of laws passed by parliament in September.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressing concern over farmers’ protest, has again urged India to uphold the right to peaceful protests.
Speaking at a press conference after Indian External Affairs Ministry issued a demarche to Canadian High Commissioner, Trudeau said Canada will always stand up for the right of peaceful protests anywhere around the world.
