ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Railways Minister announced 100,000 job opportunities from Railways projects.
The Railways Minister said that 1872 kilometer long new track will be laid under ML-One project and it will generate one hundred thousand job opportunities.
Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has reaffirmed his commitment to turn Railways into a profitable institution by completely overcoming its deficit within three years.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Thursday, he said that Pakistan is the only country in the world where passenger trains are generating profit.
He said Main Line One will be a historic project in the 72-year history of the country.
He announced to reduce the fares of freight trains by ten percent after midnight tonight.
