Speakers pay rich tribute to Kashmiri leader Asiya Andrabi

ISLAMABAD: Speakers at a seminar paid glowing tribute to the sacrifices of Kashmiri leader Asiya Andrabi, one of the brave leading Hurriyat leader and the brave pro-struggle female voice of Kashmir.

The seminar titled “Solidarity with the Brave Iron lady of Kashmir” was organized by students of Kashmir in collaboration with Dream Pakistan at local hotel.
The seminar was attended by son of Asiya Andrabi Ahmed bin Qasim, ex-Senator Farhatullah Baber, former Ambassor Abdul Basit, Abdul Gul, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Faiz Naqshbandi, Abdul Hameed Lone and a large number of students.

Speaking on the occasion, paying tribute to Asiya Andrabi, ex-Ambassador Abdul Basit appreciated the courage and determination of Asiya Andrabi. He said that India was using all kinds of atrocities against innocent people in Kashmir but couldn't turned down their passion of freedom.

Abdul Basit said that there was need to start a massive campaign to highlight the issue of Kashmir in each capital of the world.
Paying tribute to Asiya Andrabi, APHC leader Faiz Naqshbandi said that she spent 11-long years in Indian prison, adding that she was shifted in July 2018 from Srinagar Central Jail to Tihar Jail in Delhi under fake allegations by NIA.

Ex-Senator Farhatullah Baber, Abdul Gul also spoke on the occasion and paid rich tribute to Asiya Andrabi for her courage and struggle for the right to self-determination.
A documentary of her message for the people of Pakistan was screened on the occasion.
