38th GCC summit being held in Kuwait City

The 38th Gulf Cooperation Council summit will be held in Kuwait City today [Tuesday].
Kuwait had invited the GCC countries while Qatar confirmed its presence in the Summit.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain had refused to participate in any summit which includes Qatar. However, according to latest reports, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir arrived in Kuwait.
The Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rehman Al Thani had said on Sunday that Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will participate in the summit.
The Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah also held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullatif al-Zayani.
It will be the first gathering of officials from the GCC member- states since a major Gulf crisis emerged six months ago.
