Four female ISIS terrorists arrested in Afghanistan

KABUL - The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have arrested four female members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Khurasan (ISISK) in northern Jawzjan province of Afghanistan.

The Security Director of Jawzjan Security Commandment Abdul Hafiz Khashi confirmed that four female ISIS Khurasan members have been arrested in Darzab district, Khaama Press has reported.

Khashi further added that the suspects were arrested from Darzab district as they were attempting to flee to Shebarghan city.

He also added that the women are originally hailing from Baghlan, Kunduz, and Samangan provinces of Afghanistan and are currently in the custody of the security forces.

According to Khashi, the detained women have confessed during the preliminary investigations that they were members of the ISIS Khurasan group.

The anti-government armed militant groups including ISIS Khurasan loyalists have not commented in this regard so far.

This comes as nearly two hundred militants of the terror group surrendered to the Afghan forces in Jawzjan province last week.
