Joint Opposition begging from COAS and DG ISI to rescue them against PM Khan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday demanded from the army chief and Inter Services Intelligence director general to make the evidence public and present them before the court, if the opposition members had committed treason.

“Has the army chief seen minutes of the National Security Committee meeting? Did the establishment sign the minutes of the meeting? The minutes should also be made public. 197 members of the National Assembly were declared traitors” said Shehbaz Sharif in a statement.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had sacrificed Pakistan for himself. He forgot about the national interests, while attacking the European Union, he said. “When the government was asked to expel the French ambassador, it said that it will ruin the economy,” he said.

While, the PML-N president said, the opposition members did not submit the no-trust motion for themselves, rather they did so for the people. He said the motion was submitted in accordance with the desire of 220 million people.

“The deputy speaker breached the constitution. We were declared traitor through ruling of the deputy speaker. The country will become a banana republic, if no measure is taken upon violation of the constitution,” he said adding that early and transparent elections was their demand and they wanted to oust the selected PM through the parliament.

Shehbaz also claimed that he was only verbally invited to attend the NSC meeting. Other leaders of the opposition were not invited in the meeting, he maintained. “Am I their slave that I go to the meeting on verbal invitation?” he wondered.

He claimed that he had not received any letter from the president regarding the interim government.

Earlier Fazalur Rehman, Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto have also made such statements to the Security establishment for rescuing them from this crisis.
