Sindh IGP directs to enhance security of census teams

KARACHI: (APP) Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh A.D Khuwaja keeping in view the incident of attack on census team in Lahore, has directed the officials to enhance the security of the census teams particularly in sensitive areas.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, the police chief has ordered for strict pursuance of inner and outer cordon security strategy.
He has asked the officials of police station level to ensure proper coordination with all other law enforcement and intelligence agencies and ensure follow up of the information shared by the agencies.
IGP Sindh also directed the officials concerned to enhance security of all the mosques, Imam Bargahs, shrines, worship places of minorities, public places, sensitive installations and other installations.
A.D Khuwaja also ordered to increase snap checking in cities, increase security on the entry and exit points.
