Over 1 lakh fake ID Cards blocked during 1 year: Ch. Nisar

RAWALPINDI: Interior Minister Ch. Nisar revealed that over 1 lakh fake ID Cards have been blocked by government during 1 year.
While talking to media here at today (Tuesday) in Rawalpindi he said that many institutions of Pakistan including NADRA had been mistreated in past while NADRA had to bear a loss of 1 billion in last year of previous government but our government made NADRA a profitable institution.
Over 200 corrupt employees of NADRA have been stuck out by present government while several of them are spending their lives behind bars. Ch. Nisar made it clear that corruption would not be tolerated at any cost in institutions and strict action would be taken against those who are involved in corruption.
More than 1 lakh bogus ID Cards were cancelled by NADRA which includes thousands ID Cards of Afghanis.
Ch. Nisar claimed that NADRA is a profitable institution and NADRA earned Rs. 5 billion in the first year of our government.
He further stated that Directorate of Passports would also submit Rs. 22 billion in national finance and this amount would be spent on welfare projects for people of Pakistan.
He announced to set up 5 mega centers of NADRA saying that these mega centers would be established according to international standard because every citizen of Pakistan is VIP.
