SRINAGAR: Muslim boy allegedly thrashed by Hindu Extremists for not saying “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” at National Institute of Technology Srinagar.
The 20 year old boy Imtiaz Ahmad Sheikh works in a local courier company. He was targeted by Hindu Extremists when he went to NIT to deliver a parcel.
He said “They stopped me and asked me to stand on a chair and chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. When I refused, they started hitting me with a cricket bat and broken glass.”
The boy became unconscious and taken to the nearest hospital immediately for medical treatment.
He suffered with severe head and arm injuries.
He claimed that he went to Nigeen Police Station to file an FIR but police didn’t cooperate with him.
The slogan row is creating worst situation for Muslims in every part of the country either they are Indian residents or not.
Earlier, Pakistan Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali was also threatened by Hindu Extremist organization Shiv Sena for not to hold event in New Delhi.
Movie director Suhaib Ilyasi filed a complaint against outfit leader Vishnu Gupta in Connaught Place police station.
RSS Guru Baba Ramdev threatened to kill all the Muslims in India for not saying ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
India’s largest Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband has also declared that the slogan un-Islamic and is against the basic principles of Islam which was also backed by Jamat-e-Islami Hind (JIH).
